It comes with a cPanel and Web Host Manager(WHM), which makes web hosting easier for web admins. In addition to the GUI, cPanel also has command line and API-based access. cPanel utilizes a three-tier structure that provides capabilities for administrators, resellers, and end-user website owners to control the various aspects of website and server administration through a standard web browser. Also made sure ACPI is disabled.CPanel is a most popular online Linux-based web hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site. **PS, I checked my BIOS on the blade server and Dell indicated there is no sleep or suspend option on their server BIOS. It has to be something and it only happens with CentOS. I also do minimal Netinst on them as well however they can't be compared to CentOS installs. I can't blame this on the hardware no matter how many people try and tell me because when I load Debian 5.0 or Arch Linux on this server, I have no problems.

I have it down to two possibilities:ġ = Since I am doing a minimal install and de-selecting every possible package during software setup, I am missing something that keeps the machine from locking up.Ģ = Something in CentOS is bug related. I have installed CentOS on this server 5 times and it always happens. Now this happens every time I reinstall the machine. From the console it looks fine but all network resources are dead until I walk over to the console and ping something internal or external to wake it up. It's as if the CentOS machine is going into a sleep mode or something. It can't be a network hardware issue because the SSH session would have been cut and none of my commands would have been displayed during the time it was frozen until it un-froze. I can see all my commands I was trying to type now and Apache is working again. I walk back over to the console and when I run a ping command from the console, it un-locks or un-freezes my ssh session on my desk to the server.

I walk back to my PC and see my SSH session is still locked up, I can't access the site Apache is running and I can't ping the machine. I don't close my ssh window, I walk over to the console directly and I then login. It's as if he machine or ssh session locked up. Then I notice in my ssh window, I try to type commands and nothing is happening. Everything runs fine for about 30 minutes. I install Apache (httpd), SSH, and MySQL. I then reboot the machine after my fresh install and everything is fine. They don't have the option or server CD anymore so I need to just uncheck every package selection.

Then when I get to the package selection, I deselect EVERYTHING! I don't want any packages on it as I need a bare minimal install. When I boot from the disk, I set up my static IP and I then connect to a mirror. The problem is I install CentOS 5.2 x86_64 on a Dell Poweredge 1855 (blade) server and do a Netinst. I was not sure where to post this and even wonder if this will even make sense to anybody but I will post this here and see what happens:
